WHITE-WALL SWITCH-HEEL @ FREEDOM (2023) is an interactive kinetic multimedia artwork that activates cut-outs from a watercolor painting on paper with a wood panel, a hot-glue dump pad and a microcontroller. This interactive installation piece engages the viewer to activate the spinning of a paper pop-up skateboard, painted with watercolor, as they approach the artwork. The work intends to use the many materials and objects to disrupt the continuity of a traditional painting, and invite the viewer to unify the elements into a complete scene in their mind.
The work was exhibited in July in Washington DC in a show entitled “Life Around the Marble III” curated by Greg Russell Jr. and Danny Cappello at Homme, 2000 L Street NW.
