BIRDSONG DIAMOND (MIMIC) TIMES SQ ’15

The Birdsong Diamond: Mimic, Times Square Performance (2015) installation included a slight site-specific adaptation of the larger installation on Governors Island which was installed at the same time and exhibited as part of the NYEAF New York Electronic Arts Festival. While the installation includes two static pods that are mounted tripods, the Times Square maintained one mounted pod and a second custom mobile pod that allowed for onlookers and passers-by to interact with the aid of one of the Birdsong artists. In this instance John Brumley was managing the mobile pod input. Separately, the interactive projected diamond on the floor was displayed on iPads.
